Suffolk Day 2025

Each year, different corners of the county use Suffolk Day as an opportunity to show what makes it a special place to live, work and learn. And it’s a chance to thank those who make it special.

In 2025, the mayoral gathering, proclamation and Suffolk Medals are being presented in Lowestoft.  As always, this is a public event, open to all.  9.30am Saturday 21 June, appropriately at ///vest.coast.expose

History of Suffolk Day

In 2016, Mark Murphy of BBC Radio Suffolk was inspired to recognise everything that makes Suffolk great and, along with Archant, the County Council, and many other stakeholders, created the now famous Suffolk Day. For several years now, the good folk of Suffolk have celebrated all that makes this county great on the longest day of the year.
